...my build sheet would look sorta like this.
Engine: 4.6 4v swap, two .63 AR GT30 turbos with a water-to-air intercooler, forged pistons, rods, and crank.
Drivetrain: T56 transmission, 31 spline axles, traction-lok diff with carbon clutches, one piece driveshaft.
Suspension/brakes/steering: 6 piston Wilwood front calipers, dual 4 piston rear calipers, ASD hydraulic handbrake, medium metallic pads, 14" slotted front rotors, 12.5" slotted rear rotors, custom coilovers (may be able to adapt revalved Bilsteins), custom steering knuckles for greater steering angle, and a 13:1 steering box.
Exhaust: True dual 3" exhaust, side exit after the rear wheels, an X-pipe to aid flow, and two Varex 3" mufflers (essentially dual mode mufflers).
Wheels and tires: -25 offset 19x9.5 Vossen VPS-308s with a super deep concave, 255/35R19 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2s (they slide pretty nicely).
Exterior: Respray in dark candy red over a medium gold metallic basecoat, custom overfenders to fit the rolling stock, a custom air dam up front, a BCL Cupcake Wing (functionality is debatable but it really echoes the visuals of my current spoiler while being much higher quality), a laser-cut aluminum bezel that fits perfectly in the stock header panel, except there are no grill slats or mesh, instead there is a single bracket for an emblem, like the setup on a 2003-2004 Mach 1 Mustang. All decals and whatnot will also be recreated and re-fitted.
Interior: Recaro Speed seats with inserts re-trimmed in sued that matches the factory tan interior color, a Momo Millenium Evo steering wheel (feels and looks amazingly OEM), Momo Anatomico shift knob.
Safety: Fire extinguisher, tow straps for just in case, a proper welded-in full cage with plenty of padding, five point harnesses for both front passengers.
Anyone else daydream about what their car could be?

Some one needs to make a video game where you could do such things and then race them. Like Forza, but with more detailed and specific parts (based off real life ones.)

Engine: Euro-R K20A swap with Comptech supercharger, custom 3" exhaust. Good for about 275/250 which is fine for what I want.
Transmission: Euro-R 6-speed. Torsen LSD already included. Custom short-throw shifter.
Suspension/brakes: Mugen suspension kit, ST rear swaybar (one of the few things on this list I actually own), the front and rear strut bars I already have on it, NSX front calipers, Mugen rotors and pads all around.
Wheels & tires: Magnesium blue 16x7 Volk CE28Ns with Dunlop Direzza Star Specs for good weather, OEMs with Goodyear Eagle GT all-seasons for the winter.
Exterior: Repainted in the factory Nighthawk Black Pearl (hood included), carbon trunk (also painted), JDM fog lights (which I have), gunmetal Type S grille, S2000 projectors retrofitted into the headlights. Aero stays the same because even in my wildest dreams the Mugen kit is unaffordable.
Interior: JDM Type S front seats/arm rest (black leather with red stitching), SiR S-Spec gauge cluster, custom cover where the rear seats normally go in the same style as the front seats, JDM 3-pointed leather-wrapped steering wheel, Mugen weighted shift knob with black/red stitched shift boot.
Safety: I guess I’ll keep the airbags.

I don’t play the “what if” game. It only ends with empty pockets.
That “beat to shit Panther” is pretty sweet. As is my beat to shit F-150 and several other spit and bailing wire rides on Oppo. They do their job and do it well. Leaving room for other vehicular interests.

But the problem is, at the end of the day, it’s an act of futility. You’ve taken away the entire concept of what the car is and tried, and inevitably failed, to make it into something which it can never be.

I’d swap in a 3.5 Honda V6.
Sway bars front and rear.
LSD from Acura TSX.
Straight pipe exhaust.
Lower it slightly.
TL Type-S wheels.

But it’ll look cool, and do sick burnouts, maybe even run 12s.
I think the full cage is a step too far it would need to stay a 4 seater at least

I absolutely love my car, but there are some things that could be improved:
poly bushings, H&R lowering springs with the thickest ride height adjustment shims available to net no more than 1" drop, koni yellow shocks, my own custom alignment, limited slip diff probably an os giken unit, 10mm wheel spacers tee help accommodate oversized tires, increase tire width by 10mm (to 255mm) front and 20mm (to 29mm) rear, michelin pilot sport as3 tires
Increase displacement to 5.8L, install custom cams with higher lift and duration, port and polish the heads, chambers and intake runners, custom built heads and exhaust with an electric dump valve that opens in sport mode
Even bigger ideas would be take all of the above and apply to 4matic wagon with a supercharger and interior swap

Even without the K swap, it’d be cheaper for me to just import a Type S once they become legal ~5 years from now. I may just do that when the time comes.

For my Mustang, I’ve already got some of the mods that I wanted. I wouldn’t go all-out race spec with it because I love having it a daily driver. But with unlimited resources, I’d give it a complete OCD frame-off restoration. The only mods that I’d add to the existing suspension and brake mods would be in the engine and transmission. I still haven’t decided on how to go about it (maybe a 351?), but I’d like the engine somewhere up around 350hp, with the transmission built to match.
For my truck, again, a frame-off resto. Swap the 350 for a 454 or a LS. Maybe a built 4L80E to replace the current 4L60E. Dual exhaust w/ dumps. Definitely add Posi in the rear end, and install 4x4 ’cuz hell, why not? Brush guard on the front, and a nice cap for the back.
